MiCA / CASP Licensing Support
End-to-end MiCA CASP authorisation support — service scoping, capital and Article 67 own-funds, jurisdiction selection and application across the EU.
Getting authorised as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider under MiCA is less about paperwork and more about decisions: which services you'll actually provide, the capital that follows, and where to apply. MiCA defines a fixed set of crypto-asset services, and your authorisation is scoped to exactly the ones you list — under-scope and you can't operate; over-scope and you carry capital and obligations you don't need. HELMS runs the licensing process end to end, with the finance and treasury substance regulators now expect to see.
What the process actually involves — and where we help
Service scoping. We map your business to MiCA's crypto-asset services — custody and administration, operating a trading platform, exchange of crypto-assets for funds or for other crypto-assets, execution of orders, reception and transmission of orders, placing, advice, portfolio management and transfer services — and authorise only what you need. Start with the MiCA Exposure Checker.
Capital & Article 67 own-funds. Your services determine the minimum capital tier (broadly €50,000, €125,000 or €150,000 depending on class), and you must hold the higher of that floor or one quarter of the fixed overheads of the preceding year. We model your Article 67 position before you commit.
Jurisdiction selection. Timelines, regulator posture and cost vary widely across the EU. We help you choose, then passport across the bloc — compare with the CASP Jurisdiction Selector and our jurisdiction guides.
Application & substance. The white paper, governance, AML, custody and operational-resilience (DORA) substance behind the application — and the finance function that demonstrates real operating capability.
Deadline pressure. The MiCA transitional regime ended 1 July 2026; in most countries the national window has already closed. We prioritise the route that's still open to you.
Why HELMS: finance, treasury and regulatory expertise, with legal coordinated through qualified counsel — so your CASP application is backed by real operating substance, not just a filing. We're advisers, not your regulator: we prepare and support, you authorise the submissions.
